Ravena Terms of Service

Welcome to Ravena!

The present Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) lay down the framework governing the use of our video-focused platform — a digital environment in which popular creator-uploaded videos may be located, streamed, shared and explored free of charge — and constitute a legally binding agreement between the user and Ravena. Access to, or utilisation of, any of our platform Services shall be understood as full acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, every provision contained in these Terms. In the event that the user does not agree with any part of these Terms, all access to and use of our platform Services shall cease immediately.

Important Notice

A binding arbitration clause, elaborated in Section 18, forms part of this agreement. Save for certain narrowly defined dispute categories such as intellectual property infringement claims, both the user and Ravena shall resolve all disputes through binding arbitration, and both parties shall waive the right to institute or participate in class action lawsuits.

1. Eligibility Requirements

Minimum Age: Registration of an account, and access to Ravena’s full platform Services, shall require the user to be at least eighteen years old. Certain premium features, should they be introduced at a later stage, may impose a higher minimum age requirement, which will be indicated clearly upon the user’s first access to such feature.
Legal Capacity: Through the use of Ravena’s services, the user affirms possession of the full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, to comply with all terms contained in this document, and to observe all applicable local, national and international laws and regulations.
Entity Use Authorization: Where access to Ravena is undertaken on behalf of a business or government organisation, the user affirms having the full authority to bind such entity to all terms set forth in these Terms.
Minor Access Prohibition: Any person below the age of eighteen shall be strictly precluded from registering an account or utilising Ravena’s platform Services. Ravena reserves the right to terminate permanently, without prior notice, any account which it reasonably believes to belong to an underage user.

2. User License

Personal Use License: Ravena hereby grants the user a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable license to access and use all of our platform Services — including the discovery of trending user-submitted videos, streaming, sharing and browsing of content — exclusively for their intended purposes. The validity of this license shall be conditional upon the user’s continuing full compliance with all provisions of these Terms.
Automatic Updates: Our platform Services may automatically download and install software updates, including fixes for video playback issues and releases of new features. Automatic updates may be deactivated by the user through the system settings of their mobile device.
License Restrictions: In the absence of prior written approval from Ravena’s management team, the user shall not copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer or sublicense Ravena’s proprietary software and services.

3. Content License to Ravena

Ownership of Your Content: Where the user creates, uploads or shares any media — including videos, public comments, photos and captions, collectively referred to as “Your Content” — full legal ownership of all Your Content shall remain with the user. Concurrently, the user shall grant Ravena a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, stream, format adjust (for example, optimising video resolution for varying device screen sizes) and distribute Your Content. Such license shall serve exclusively to support the operation, maintenance and improvement of our video platform, including the availability of uploaded videos to other users on the platform.
License for Public Content: With respect to all media posted by the user in public areas of the platform, such as trending video feeds and public comment sections, the user shall grant Ravena a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to publicly broadcast, display, reproduce and create derivative works from that content. By way of illustration, an uploaded video may be included in a curated “Top Viral Videos” compilation. This license shall further permit Ravena to display the user’s full name and profile image alongside the published content, without any obligation to remit additional compensation to the user.
Content Moderation Rights: Ravena shall be entitled to review, remove or modify any of Your Content at any time, including the deletion of videos that contravene these Terms. Nevertheless, Ravena shall bear no legal obligation to actively monitor all user-generated content on the platform. The user shall remain solely responsible for all Your Content posted on Ravena.
Advertising Consent: The user agrees that commercial advertisements may be displayed by Ravena across all platform Services, such display constituting a condition of free access to video browsing and content sharing features.

4. Your Responsibility for Uploaded Content

Full Liability for Content: The user shall bear full legal responsibility for all Your Content published on Ravena. Uploaded content must not infringe upon any third-party rights — including copyright in background music used within videos and trademark rights — and must not violate any applicable local or national laws, such as laws against defamation or obscenity.
Prohibited Content: The user shall not upload or share content that is unlawful, harmful, discriminatory (on the basis of race, gender, religion or other protected characteristics), graphically violent, sexually explicit, or that promotes harassment, exploitation or criminal activity. This prohibition shall extend to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), hate speech, and footage of illegal acts being committed.
Reporting Violations: Illegal or inappropriate content, such as violent videos, may be reported by the user through our built-in reporting tool or by emailing our official service inbox: [email protected]. Upon confirmation of a breach of these Terms, our team shall be entitled to remove the violating content and to suspend or terminate the responsible user accounts.

5. Privacy of Your Data

The protection of personal privacy shall constitute a foremost priority for our team. Our official Privacy Statement, accessible within the Ravena mobile application, sets out in detail how personal data is collected, used and shared in connection with our video platform Services. Use of any Ravena service shall amount to full consent to all data practices described in that Privacy Statement.

6. Prohibited Conduct

The user shall refrain from any of the following activities while using Ravena’s Services:

Harassing, threatening, intimidating or impersonating other users. This shall include posting abusive comments on other creators’ videos and assuming the identity of another person.
Tampering with the platform’s security systems, circumventing access controls, or employing automated tools such as bots to scrape video data, artificially inflate video view counts or disrupt normal platform operation.
The transmission or dissemination of malicious software, spam messages or unlawful content — child sexual abuse material (CSAM) included — through any component of our platform Services.
The employment of Ravena’s features for commercial ends absent prior written approval from our management team, encompassing the sale of physical goods through video comments and the promotion of external services.
The infringement of third-party intellectual property rights, including the upload of videos embedding copyrighted music without authorisation or the circumvention of digital rights management (DRM) mechanisms embedded within the platform.
Engaging in money laundering, fraud or the exploitation of vulnerable people. All activity involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) shall be subject to our strict zero-tolerance policy.

Zero-Tolerance Child Safety Policy

Ravena maintains an unyielding zero-tolerance policy with respect to all child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on our platform. Any suspected prohibited material shall be reported immediately. Our team shall remove all related content, suspend or permanently ban the responsible account, and cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities in the course of any investigation.

7. Copyright Policy

Ravena fully respects the intellectual property rights of creators and rights holders. Should the user, in good faith, believe that any content on Ravena — such as a user-uploaded video — infringes their copyright, a written infringement notice shall be sent to [email protected] containing all of the following information:

The user’s physical or electronic signature.
A comprehensive description of the copyrighted work alleged to have been infringed.
The exact location of the infringing content, including full video URLs or instructions for locating it within the app.
Complete contact particulars of the user: name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
A declaration, rendered under penalty of perjury, affirming a bona fide belief that the contested use is not sanctioned by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.

Registered users found to have repeatedly perpetrated confirmed copyright infringement may be subject to the permanent termination of their Ravena accounts.

8. Account Rules

Account Security: The user shall bear full responsibility for maintaining the security of account login credentials, including the confidentiality of their password. Sharing login information, or accessing a Ravena account through unauthorised third-party software, shall be prohibited.
Account Usage Rules: Unless explicitly permitted by official platform guidelines, the user shall not register multiple duplicate accounts, sell or transfer an account, or reactivate accounts that were disabled for policy violations.
Reporting Unauthorized Access: Upon noticing signs of unauthorised access to an account, such as unknown videos uploaded without the user’s action, the user shall contact our support team immediately at [email protected].

9. Content Moderation

Automated and Human Review: Ravena employs two review systems: automated detection software engineered to recognise violent or sexually explicit video content, and trained human moderators tasked with reviewing all published content against our policies. It must nevertheless be acknowledged that 100% accurate detection of every category of prohibited content submitted by users cannot be assured.
User Reporting: The user may flag inappropriate content, including harmful videos and spam comments, through our built-in reporting tool. Our moderation team shall endeavour to complete all reported violation reviews within 24 hours, and may remove violating content or issue temporary or permanent account suspensions upon confirmation of a policy breach.

10. In-App Purchases and Payments

In the event that Ravena introduces optional premium features or virtual products at a future juncture — ad-free video streaming or access to exclusive locked trending content, for instance:

Transparent Pricing: All prices shall be clearly displayed to the user before the completion of any purchase. All payment processing shall be handled by authorised third-party payment providers such as the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
No Refund Policy: Except where required by applicable consumer protection laws such as EU consumer regulations, all completed purchases shall be final and non-refundable. All subscriptions shall renew automatically unless cancelled by the user through their app store account at least twenty-four hours before the next billing date. Cancellation of a subscription shall not entitle the user to a refund for any unused portion of the current subscription period.
EU Consumer Rights: Users residing in the European Union may request a full refund for subscription purchases within fourteen calendar days of purchase. This refund right shall apply only where the user has not accessed or used any premium features during that fourteen-day period.

11. Mobile Data Charges

The user shall bear full responsibility for all mobile data charges, text messaging fees and other telecommunications costs incurred while using Ravena’s Services, such as streaming videos or uploading videos over a cellular network. For details regarding data rates and billing, the user should contact their mobile service provider.

12. Anti-Slavery and Anti-Human Trafficking Policy

All manifestations of slavery, human trafficking and the exploitation of vulnerable people are prohibited by Ravena. Suspected violations shall be reported to our official email address [email protected]. A full investigation shall be conducted by our management team, all violating content shall be removed, and full cooperation with the pertinent law enforcement authorities shall be extended.

13. Anti-Fraud and Compliance

Scam Prevention: The user shall not send money, share financial information such as credit card details, or enter into suspicious financial transactions with other platform users. All confirmed scams — for example, users requesting payment through video comments — shall be reported to our service inbox at [email protected].
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance: Ravena may request government-issued identity documents in order to satisfy mandatory anti-money laundering legal requirements. Refusal or failure to provide the requested identification may result in temporary suspension of the user’s account access.

14. Service Changes and Account Termination

Service Modification Rights: Ravena retains the entitlement to introduce new features such as in-app video editing tools, to withdraw existing features, to suspend service temporarily or to terminate all Ravena services at any juncture, with or without advance notice. Reasonable efforts shall be undertaken to apprise registered users of material alterations to core services, including the permanent withdrawal of core video-sharing functionality.
Account Suspension and Termination: Our management team may temporarily suspend or permanently terminate the user’s account, and revoke all access to our Services, for confirmed violations of these Terms, prolonged account inactivity, or harmful user conduct, with or without prior written notice. Upon termination, the user shall lose all access to platform features, including uploaded videos and any purchased premium services.

15. Indemnification

The user undertakes to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Ravena, its affiliated companies, directors, employees and authorised third-party agents against all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and legal fees (comprehensive attorney fees included) arising from the user’s utilisation of Ravena’s Services, from any Your Content posted upon the platform (copyright infringement proceedings occasioned by uploaded videos, for example), or from any established breach of these Terms.

16. Disclaimers

As-Is Service: All Ravena Services shall be provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any express or implied warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free video playback, or the complete accuracy and safety of all user-generated content on the platform.
No Liability for User-Generated Content: Ravena shall not be legally responsible for offensive, illegal or misleading content posted by other users, including harmful videos and false comments. The user accesses all user-generated content on the platform at their own risk.

17. Limitation of Liability

Ravena and its partner entities shall bear no liability whatsoever for indirect, consequential or punitive damages of any description. The aggregate maximum liability for all claims shall not exceed the greater of one hundred United States Dollars (USD 100) or the aggregate sum remitted by the user to Ravena during the twelve consecutive calendar months immediately preceding the claim.

18. Binding Arbitration

Dispute Resolution: Most disputes between the user and Ravena shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court litigation. Arbitration shall be administered by a mutually agreed arbitration forum such as USIETAC, in accordance with that forum’s official procedural rules.
Class Action Waiver: Each dispute shall be adjudicated by way of individual arbitration, and consolidated or class action proceedings shall be impermissible under this agreement.
Opt-Out Right: The user may opt out of this binding arbitration clause within thirty calendar days of their first use of the platform Services. To opt out, a written notice shall be sent to Ravena’s management team via email at [email protected] or to the physical address listed in the Ravena mobile app. The notice shall include the user’s full name, registered account email address and a clear statement of intention to opt out of the arbitration clause.

19. Intellectual Property Statement

All video content uploaded by registered users to the Ravena platform shall be original works created independently by the uploading user. Each uploading user shall hold full intellectual property ownership rights, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, patent and trade secret rights, to the uploaded content. Registered users shall not upload or publish any content that infringes upon third-party intellectual property rights, including but not limited to unauthorised copying, adaptation, editing or clipping of externally owned video, audio, text or image files. Where our moderation team identifies confirmed infringing content, Ravena shall have the immediate right to permanently delete the violating material, and reserves the right to pursue full legal liability against the responsible user. Should Ravena suffer measurable financial losses as a direct result of the infringing conduct, the responsible user shall fully compensate Ravena for all losses incurred.

20. Governing Law

The civil laws of the State of Delaware, with its conflict of law rules excluded, shall govern these Terms to the complete exclusion of any other body of law.

21. Severability

Should a court of competent jurisdiction determine that any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the offending provision shall be severed and excised from the agreement, and all remaining provisions shall persist in full legal force and effect.

22. Supplementary Terms

Certain platform features, such as official creator monetization programs, may be subject to separate supplementary terms. Such supplementary terms shall be presented to the user upon first access to the relevant feature, and shall become legally binding parts of this agreement once accepted by the user.

23. General Terms

Entire Agreement: These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Statement and any supplementary feature terms, shall embody the complete agreement between the user and Ravena, supplanting all antecedent oral or written agreements.
No Third-Party Beneficiaries: No enforceable rights shall accrue to any third party by virtue of this agreement, other Ravena users included.
Non-Waiver: If Ravena’s management team elects not to enforce a particular provision of these Terms on one occasion, this shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that same provision in future cases of verified policy violation.
Assignment: The user shall not assign or transfer their rights under these Terms without prior written approval from Ravena’s management team. Ravena may freely assign and transfer its rights and obligations under this agreement at its sole discretion.
English Language Priority: Should any conflict arise between translated renditions of these Terms and the original English version, the original English text shall alone possess legal authority.
